Guitar Lessons

Over 125 pupils enjoy guitar lessons at BMA Music. Our guitar tutors include Mike Thomson, Tim Lockyer, Matt Wells and Trevor Harding. BMA Music’s tutors work between our Preston North and South Academies in Broughton and Penwortham. Our specialist tutors offer guitar lessons in Preston and Penwortham, with classical, rock and jazz styles available. Our guitar tutors hold Rock school and ABRSM (classical) music exams 3 times a year, with pupils currently ranging from beginner to advanced (ages 6 +). Pupils having Guitar lessons also have the opportunity to work with other musicians from anther areas of the academy – our guitar tutors work on ensemble pieces in order to give these opportunities.

Guitar Pupils also have the opportunity to Perform in our Shows which take place twice a year at the Preston Playhouse, as well as taking part in various other shows and Festivals around Preston.

All guitar tuition Rooms are stocked with Guitar amps, cables and music stands.  All you have to do is bring your Guitar.

Pupils having guitar tuition also have the opportunity to record in our recording studio. Our guitar lessons take place on a Monday to Thursday evening (4pm-9pm) and also on Saturdays.

Guitar lesson gift vouchers are available for birthdays and other special occasions.
